Part 1
That guy, who looked like a dream, well dappered in a black suit, a slightly displaced tie( which made me want to reach out to him and adjust it) just entered the room. Those big eyes on the angular face wandered through the hall artistically as if he was there to find me (obviously he was trying to spot his group number for the GD). The moment when our eyes met i immediately realized i had been gawking at him and exactly like a thief caught in action i started looking here and there.
Part 2
I was totally worried about my interview and focused on myself and as usual forgot about him. But to my serendipity, for the other round when i entered the hall looking for my group i felt someone's eyes on me and when i looked, there he was, all dovey-eyed sitting in the slot for group 280. I stopped for a second caught my breath and sat silently with all the attitude in the world dripping from my face (i always end up doing this inadvertently :-( SAD!) Did not even look in the direction he sat, Moreover ended up having a little altercation with him during the group discussion but he was always peaceful and calm. After that just cursed myself and sat as far as possible until the names for interviews were called.
Part 3
Two of us with an air of weirdness sat on adjacent chairs waiting for our turns. There were butterflies in my stomach, so many butterflies because of both the mysterious silent guy sitting extremely close to me plus my interview which was going to decide the next two years of my life. I finally decided to break the ice, and initiated the conversation. Those five minutes were really a moment of camaraderie, we belonged to the same organisation, had lived in the same place for two months and many more.
Part 4
We laughed heartily and chatted gleefully like the long lost friends who had never met before. It was a crisp and honest conversation. And then, the bell rang and his turn for the interview came I wished him and then after he came back i went inside with a wonderful smile and his lovely wish. I had a great interview and by the time i came out he had been waiting for me. We just looked at each other, smiled and waved a generous Good bye with best wishes. I stood there to complete my formalities and suddenly i glanced down to find him looking at me from the lift moving downstairs. I just looked at his eyes, a look of hope, a question and a smile, radiant beautifully in his eyes.
I too smiled and every thing went in a slow motion until then my mind exclaimed What the Fuck! we discussed almost our two years in the organisation but we didn't even ask each other's name or anything :) And we knew the probability of meeting each other again was almost null for us and then his face flashed in front of my eyes and i deciphered that unspoken question in his eyes...
